Ajay's first project car was a 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. This was the start of Tuff's Garage back in 2021.
As a family project, sons Damian and Ajay working on Ajay's car we built a hobby and lifestyle that can never be taken away, a true testament to family togetherness.
on July 4th 2022 Ajay lost his first project car. On his way to get some parts, the 1965 Ford Mustang blew a rod and a fuel line. After jumping out of a burning car, flames coming through the firewall (making sure to grab his phone on the way out like a teen would) no fire extinguisher can save his first car, not without trying.
All I could do was race to the location as Ajay called me at home to stand by my son's side as he cried. His first car. I comforted my son with this is a learning experience and we have the memories. Ajay was upset more about the work we as a family put into this car together and all the good times it brought him. I explained to him, these we will treasure and we will. rebuild again with another car, and again with even more cars.
To this day Ajay wants to rebuild his 1965 Ford Mustang, and he will. I will keep you all up to date on the next mustang to replace the first. A car that I know Ajay will want to keep in his personal collection as a reminder of what brought him into the car community and what has given him and our family so much joy.
